MAC (EXW) Elizabeth Duran
Chief Elizabeth Duran is a native of Lubbock, Texas where she graduated from Lubbock High School in 2014. She enlisted in the Navy in December 2015. During Basic Training, Seaman Recruit Duran was selected as the top graduate and awarded the Military Excellence Award leading to advancement to E-3. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command (RTC) Great Lakes, Ill., she reported to Master-At-Arms “A” School in San Antonio, Texas and graduated in April 2016.
Upon graduation of her initial technical training, she was assigned to Naval Support Activity (NAS) Naples, Italy. In May of 2019, she transferred to Coastal Riverine Group Detachment Two out of Bahrain and qualified as an Enlisted Expeditionary Warfare Specialist. While there, she completed three missions onboard three high value assets within fifth, sixth and seventh fleet in support of OPERATIONS INHERENT RESOLVE, SENTINEL and VIGILANT MARINER. In December 2020, she transferred to Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island where she was promoted to Petty Officer First Class. In November 2023 upon completion of MA “C” school in San Antonio, TX, she transferred to Naval Support Facility (NSF) Redzikowo, Poland where she was the Department Leading Petty Officer and was selected for Chief Petty Officer in 2024. She is currently assigned to Naval Base Kitsap as the Antiterrorism Leading Chief Petty Officer.
Achievements and awards include, Enlisted Expeditionary Warfare Specialist, Navy Security Force Master Specialist Insignia, Navy Commendation Medal (2 awards), Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal (4 awards), Good Conduct (3 awards) and various unit, campaign, and service awards.
